Round Table Discussion : Multi-sectoral Efforts to Build Resilience

Overview of the Round Table Discussion:

The term “resilience” has been defined by the United Nations (UN) as the ability of a system, community or society exposed to hazards to resist, absorb, accommodate to and recover from the effects of a hazard in a timely and efficient manner through risk management. The UN also states that “resilience” can be built at various levels, from individual level to household, community, country or a region.

This Round Table session brings together experts from different sectors to examine the topic and discuss how resilience could be enhanced via collaboration.

* This session will be broadcasted live on HKJCDPRI’s Facebook page
